As a big thanks to the many Rune fans out there worldwide, Human Head Studios is pleased to provide the source code header files for our hit game Rune. For you modders with a technical flair, this will allow you to create new mods and enhancements for Rune and take the game to new heights. MACINTOSH

RUNE Mac Patch (Version 1.07) (33 MB) | 7/9/01

This patch brings the Mac version of Rune up to the latest PC version, and fixes network compatibility. It also adds EAX support for SB Live cards, fixes some geForce problems, and has better GameRanger support.

RUNE Mac 107 Patch Fix (33 MB) | 7/16/01

Westlake has created this bandaid to fix a glitch in their Mac 107 Patch - an error disabled OpenGL.

PC

RUNE PC Patch (Version 1.07 - English and Foreign Version) (6.8 MB) | 5/2/01

The latest patch will update any PC version of Rune - English or foreign of the original game - to 1.07. You must have Rune fully installed on your system before running this upgrade. This patch contains all the bug fixes from the English 1.06 patch and the updates from the latest HOV 1.07 patch (specifically a server crash bug). NOTE: If you already have Rune: HOV, please ONLY use the smaller HOV 107 patch listed below.

To update to 1.07, simply run the Rune107All.exe file and follow the onscreen instructions. Please note that the patch process may take a few moments to upgrade to 1.07.

RUNE Halls of Valhalla Update (Version 1.07 - English Version Only) (299 KB) | 4/27/01

This program will update your version of Halls of Valhalla from 1.06 to 1.07. Please note that this update is for the Halls of Valhalla expansion ONLY, and not for the retail version of Rune. You must have Halls of Valhalla installed on your system before running this upgrade.

To update to 1.07, simply run the RuneHOV106to107.exe file and follow the onscreen instructions. Please note that the patch process may take a few moments to upgrade HOV from 1.06 to 1.07. This update is primarily meant for machines that will be running HOV servers. Clients running 1.06 will still be able to connect and play against people using 1.07.

FIXES:

  • Occasional server crash bug fixed.
  • Problems with team starting when running a Headball game
  • Fixed an issue with even teams in Headball
