Alex Hammond is Human Head Studios’ animation intern. Originally from Verona, Wisconsin, Alex started playing video games at the age of two and knew he wanted to pursue a career in the industry even before entering high school. Some early games that really inspired him were The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Metroid Prime. Alex has also been an artist for most of his life, and had initially set out to do concept art. At Madison College, he elected animation as his secondary discipline but it eventually evolved into his main focus. Alex keeps a pen and pad on him at all times, just in case he has a free moment to sketch. Alex’s favorite part of working at Human Head Studios is the level of friendly competition that pushes him to go above and beyond, and the many friendships he’s made.
Advice for Aspiring Animators
