Human Head Studios is celebrating twenty years of development, twenty years of fun, and twenty years of support from the community. No matter how well-crafted a game may be, its success is ultimately brought about by the loving fans who take the time to appreciate it. For this, the founders of Human Head Studios would like to thank you. The studio’s gratitude is infinite, but we’ve chosen twenty things that we appreciate most:

…for always supporting us as independent developers.for all the love for Prey and our intentions for Prey 2, as well as the warm reception for Lost Within.

…for all the well-wishes when our studio was damaged by fire.

…for all the support - and patience - for Minimum. Though not ours, we really enjoyed working on the IP, and hoped for it to continue.

…for your honesty, it pushes us to be better game developers.

…to the players who gave us great support and feedback when Twitch streaming and early access communication with users was new to us - this was really helpful!

…to those people that helped guide Minimum users, or help problem solve issues on the Steam forums during our tenure.

…to all the amazing UT modders who embraced the world of Rune - we can’t thank you enough! It was simply amazing what you accomplished:

  • cool new skins/contentnew levels and questsbots and new game modes (Rune Racing and Capture the Torch!) a full on co-op mode for the game - incredible!
  • for all the excitement for the Rune Classic re-release on Steam.
  • to RuneWorld, RuneGameGoddess, and Laurie Wise & family for the amazing Rune community/mod website and support over the years.
  • to Kirby Wise for the awesome drinking horn and viking axes!
  • for the incredible “Rune vs Wendol” sculpture, which is proudly displayed in our lobby!

…for supporting our studio by buying our games.for the opportunity to work with creative, brilliant people, as well as young, up-and-coming talent.

…for a career where we get to blend our interests and love of storytelling with making and playing games.

…for the joy of watching eyebrows raise when we tell people what we all do for a living.for a workplace where we’re able to wear tee shirts and jeans to work - it’s much better than the uniforms needed at other jobs we’ve had!

…to all the fans who still ask for a Rune 2, we would love to do it! (Editor’s note: dreams really do come true!)
